In the 1960’s it was used as a stone warehouse. The old brickwork was badly damaged and a large hole had been cut through the end wall. New beams and posts were inserted into the center of the sanctuary to support the sagging roof.  Additional post-and-beam support frames the opening to the choir area.  The old “spirit window,” obliterated by previous remodelings, was connected to the sanctuary by a deep angled shaft following the diamond of the window.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
